This affordable Twinax Adapter for SCS provides continued support for existing twinax networks and compatibility for SCS distributed multipart forms printing with no changes to host applications. This Twinax Adapter for SCS attaches to the printer via the parallel port. Printer Emulations IBM 4214-002, 4230-01, 5225, 5224 and 5256.
The Twinax Adapter for SCS is option that provides the SNA Character String (SCS) data stream and twinaxial connection for printers.
With the appropriate option installed, the printer will emulate an IBM host-workstation printer and print from applications running on an IBM iSeries, AS/400 or System/390 computer. -
